There are over 1.6 million lost pension pots in the UK, worth more than £20 billion! If you’ve had more than one job, moved home and forgot to tell your pension provider, or deleted the pension emails you received – this could be you.

Since 2012 all employers have been required to provide a pension. Your employer (or previous employer) should be your first port of call. Before 2012 it was a slightly different arrangement, but your employer should be able to help. If that’s not possible there’s a free online pension tracing service provided by the Government: www.gov.uk/find-lost-pension
